Parks & Playgrounds Kids Activities Melbourne
The upgrade of William Street Reserve Balaclava is complete (or more commonly known to locals as the train park) and a super play spot for toddlers and older kids.
Newly laid soft matting will ensure no child hurts themselves and the park has been improved with new seating and freshly planted shrubs and trees and a lick of paint on the gazebo. And any playground that's fully fenced is a friend of ours!
This playground is good for littlies - 2 baby swings, mini slides, see-saw and a few other good sized equipment but it also suits older kids with a climbing wall and bigger slide and it's a super spot to ride a scooter around. There's also the added bonus of train spotting!
There's no shade sails but it's set in a natural setting and offers some relief from the heat from sheltering trees plus there's a gazebo.
Outside the fence shoot some hoops with a basketball or picnic under the shade. Tables and bench seating all ready! There's no toilets on site (nearest is Carlisle St).
