Parks & Playgrounds Kids Activities Melbourne
The highly anticipated all-inclusive play space has been unveiled and it's on a grand scale!
Ballarat’s first Inclusive Play Space includes multiple play zones and accessible equipment designed for people with a disability. Features are a double flying fox, multiple swings, slides, carousel, a music zone, sand play and a year-round passive/imaginative water play precinct. The project includes new paths, shade shelters, BBQs, picnic tables, car parking and toilet facilities.
The play space is really incredible and, importantly, accommodates all children regardless of their level of ability. Take the hanging ropes that a wheelchair or pram can just glide through, or the carousel where you can just wheel your child straight onto or the main slide that has a ramp right up to it giving a view over the playground.
Come warmer weather and the water play area and water trough will be a hive of activity. There's plenty of space too - in the middle there's a large grassy oval and wide paths connect each area of the play equipment.
It's a fab playground to connect and feel part of the community with thanks to the Touched by Olivia Foundation.
