Locals know this as 'Rocket Park' as it's obvious when you land at this playground, it's all about the rocket ship!

If you're not 'blasting' off there's slides, swings, climbing frame, horsey merry-go-round, twirly bucket seats and a metal bike to keep the kiddos ammused.

Pack a picnic! As well as the space themed regional playground the reserve has a skate park, sensory adventure trail and liberty swing.

The Ron Barassi Snr Park is a great new park in the Docklands that offers a range of activities for all ages and seasons.

The park is the first recreation space to open at the Habour Town side of Docklands and includes a children’s playground, a large grassed area, BBQ facilities, a picnic area, and toilets, which makes it a perfect spot for a family day out.

Coburg Lake Reserve Playground, Coburg

This playground is set in pretty surrounds around the lake and there's plenty of picnic opportunities. Apart from that big super slide, playground goers can enjoy the swings, slides, climbing wall and monkey bars. There's plenty of tables and benches, BBQ facitities and toilets.

One of the best things about Coburg Lake is that there's not one but three playgrounds to take your pick from! The grounds are vast and worth a meander and stroll as you never know what you'll spot - a chess table, bridges to cross, lookouts, a game of twister...
