A visit to the Melbourne Museum (or even Melbourne IMAX) and a play in the park go hand in hand. This playground is a natural stop-off before or after the museum as it's a skip, hop and a jump away.

The design of the Carlton Gardens Playground is loosely based on the popular 19th century maze with undulating wall elements creating paths of discovery including play spaces, sand play, structures and interactive music elements.

Expect to find small forts, sandpits, slides, tunnels, and musical elements with undulating and mixed material surfaces. It's just perfect for a game of hide and seek! There's a bigger playground and a smaller playground suitable for toddlers and crawlers. There's also a basketball court close by and a beautiful place to walk around and have a picnic at.

Wheelchair access is considered along the transecting pathways and linking to the play structures.
