Kid Friendly Cafes
If you’re looking for a place to eat and you’ve got a young child in tow, then look no further than Leroy’s in Newport.
Leroy’s provide toys, a great kids menu (all served on plastic, phew) and staff who are super accommodating of littlies. Outside, they have a fully enclosed courtyard with a sandpit, hopscotch, chalkboard and some climbing equipment- perfect for lazy lunches if the weather is right. If you’ve got a messy eater, there are plenty of birds about waiting to nibble up some crumbs. There’s big umbrella shades outside, but unfortunately nothing else in terms of shade, so it’s not ideal for really hot or really rainy days.
Leroy’s have delicious coffee, a fantastic menu (which caters for Vegetarians) and a range of cupcakes which will make you drool. There are highchairs galore as well as change facilities. For the older kids, you may want to grab a coffee & cake ‘to go’ and relax in the park next door, whilst the kids play. Either way, Leroy’s is one of the rare gems of the West.
