Kid Friendly Cafes
Stylish, surprisingly affordable and it caters for children, that's why we love Cafe Vue.
We also love the modernist glass building, stone floor and industrial lighting.....but that's another subject and one we'd happily chat about for hours on end!
Cafe Vue is situated in the Heide Gardens. Here, under the inspired influence of Shannon Bennett, breakfasts, lunches and dinners arrive demonstrating much of the flair of Heide's exhibitions.
Cafe Vue serves up a Kids Menu from 11am - 4pm.
Kid Hit Menu Items: Our little one tucks into the all healthy Petite Heide Vegetable Garden (a medley of veges!) for $9 and the Tomato soup is fresh and delish $6
Adult Perks: We just can't get enough of their spanish eggs for brekkie which is served until 12pm. For lunch try the Goats curd baguette's - they're a dream!
Pros: If you haven't booked you can always join the queue and grab a take-away coffee and be tempted by a pastry or slice of cake.
Cons: It gets pretty busy, noise levels are high - perfect, we think, for toddlers!!! Never experienced NO chocolate on top of a cappucino before, if we thought that was a surprise you should have seen our little ones face when her Babycino turned up with no chocolate!
If you're not up for the sit down cafe experience and want an alfresco lunch in the gardens where the little ones can roam free, you can pre-order a special Vue lunch box.
For $15 Adult or $10 Child they're a sure treat. Currently serving up:
- Confit duck ballotime
- Tuna and sweet corn risoni
- Chicken on brioche
- Raspberry cupcake
