Scienceworks - our very favourite destination. The latest permanent exhibition, Think Ahead, opened on Thursday 5th December 2013 and we knew we had to head along especially as we have a plane, train, automobile and space fanatic in the house.

The Museum Victoria website says:

"What will our future be like?

What will our cities look like in the future? How will new materials change our houses, cities and clothes? What will we eat? How will we use the space around Earth?

Think Ahead is a new permanent exhibition about advances in science and technology across ten themes - communication; medicine and health; music and sound; food; natural systems; transport; space; cities; daily life; and money. With more than 200 museum objects from the past, the present and the speculative future, Think Ahead blends innovative technology with hands-on experiences to inspire you to research, think creatively and share your ideas."

...but from an almost 4 year and 5 year old perspective they saw an interactive, hands on exhibit. It didn't matter that they didn't 'get' the bigger picture about the world around us or the advances of technology.

We spent a good hour discovering the nooks and crannies of Think Ahead and we returned some time later for another 1/2 hour stint designing cars of the future and emailing them home.

Think Ahead is showing 10am - 4.30pm and is included in Museum Entry.

We'll let the photos do the talking.
