Highpoing Shopping Centre has raised the bar for parent's room facilities, launching the first of two new parent's rooms to offer both a sanctuary for parents and an engaging play area for children.
Boasting a design that connects with the centre's new architectural features and natural finishes, the concept behind the new parent's room is to offer a private and peaceful space for parents to tend to their children and make shopping with kids as comfortable, safe and memorable as possible.
Exceeding the highest standards, the new Highpoint parent's room has been awarded with a five-‐star rating from the Australian Breastfeeding Association, for its innovative orchard design, functional space including a secure play area, private quiet sanctuaries and first class facilities including three feeding rooms and kitchenette complete with sink, microwave and ready hot water.
Featuring an 'Under the Apple Tree' theme, families are sure to be delighted with the new space dedicated to them, complete with highchairs in feeding rooms and an abundance of interactive activities.
The design includes a vibrant garden centred around an apple tree.
Upon entry you walk into a world of bright bursts of colour with astro-‐turfed areas, stepping stones, giant apples, plus butterfly and apple mobiles hanging from the ceiling.
Highpoint General Manager, Scott Crellin said much thought had gone into the design of the space to add to the customer experience at Highpoint and the feedback from parents has been exceptional. "Throughout the new development our aim has been to create unique community spaces for our customers.
The thoughtful parent's room design has certainly achieved this, creating a functional space where parents can relax, unwind and tend to their children's needs," Crellin said.
The new parent's room launched as part of stage one of Highpoint's development, coinciding with the opening of the new Fresh Food Market and Eco Mall on Thursday 18 October. The second of Highpoint's new parent's rooms will open in stage two of the centre's $300 million development in early 2013.
Extending the orchard theme, the second room will have an 'At the Top of the Tree' design theme complete with a sky inspired ceiling and birdhouse.
The new parent's room is now open, located on Level 2 in the Fresh Food Market, Highpoint Shopping Centre.
