Little Melbourne Reviews
Do you have a budding pilot on your hands? One who knows more about planes than your good self? Then I promise you that this free little adventure will make him or her squeal with delight. Did I mention its free? You can squeal as well if you like.
I am talking about the best kept secret aircraft viewing car park off Bulla Road, near Tulllamarine Airport. It's about a 5 minute drive from the airport and it is here that you and your pilot-to-be can watch all sorts of aircraft take off from the runways of Melbourne Airport. The planes fly so low that you feel you might just be able to touch them if you stretch up on the very tips of your very toes. Spend half an hour at the car park and you will soon see just how popular this place is and it's popularity is shared amongst all ages, its not just for the kids. And if you spend an hour at the car park it is quite possible that you will feel like you have had your very own plane adventure. A favourite game of ours is to guess the destination of the plane and then we try to guess who may be sitting on the plane.
Oh! and yes, there is an ice cream van permanently on site. Whoops, it's an almost free adventure. $4 for a kids rainbow cup and there is coffee and jam donuts for the very mature adults amongst us.
I guarantee this adventure will bring a smile to the faces of all the adventurers out there.
Now, who's for ice cream?!?
