Daylesford & Macedon Ranges
If you're passing by or just in the area, the Macedon Ranges Adventure Playground is a brilliant stop-off for the family. It's located at the Gisborne Botanic Gardens with ample car-parking, picnic areas, shaded spaces, BBQ's, walking tracks and a bike track and lots of space.
The playground is fully fenced (though one part at the back of the fully fenced playground is only partly fenced - confused yet?) with all sorts of climbing frames, swings (including an all abilities liberty swing with wheelchair access), tunnels, stepping stones, monkey bars, baby swings and lots more engaging things to do. This one caters for children of all ages.
On our visit we enjoyed a picnic and fish and chips on a park bench/table and ended up with the kids needing a change of clothes thanks to a nearby fountain! Thankgoodness for a spare set of clothes in the car.
- For your caffeine hit and breakfast, lunch or treat sanctuary, we recommend 3 Little Pigs Cafe in Gisborne (a short drive).
- Nearby there's a shopping strip and supermarket, fish and chips and a leisure pool.
