Parks & Playgrounds Kids Activities Melbourne
There's hours of endless fun to be had at one of Melbourne's newest playgrounds..
With the tower slide built so high that you can see it from the highway, this new playground gets both adults and children super excited as you enter the new Woodlea estate.
There is free parking aplenty with the playground situated in the middle of a display home village. This wonderful playground addition to Melbourne's west boasts classic park equipment such as swings, slides, rope climbing and an undercover BBQ area which we predict will be pretty popular in the warmer months, but also two super fun flying foxes - one is in the form of a chair so don't forget to secure the seat belt as one of my mothers group mamas literally flew off into the sky as she hit the end of the flying fox line! Luckily the surface area was soft!
Along with the fabulous flying foxes, there is a sand pit play area complete with pulleys and a digger. There are trampolines and tunnels for the little ones to explore which are situated next to the basketball ring and table tennis table - bring your own basketball and ping pong ball for hours of fun! All of these areas are accessible even during the wet weather as the surfaces consist of rubber and bark.
If you fancy something a little more strenuous, you can go for a run around the oval and kick a footy through the mini footy goals, as well as go for a little workout on the outdoor fitness equipment. And to top it off, Go West cafe is literally right next door so whether you need a quick bathroom break, coffee or some brunch, your day is sorted. The only downside of this amazing place is that your kids may never want to leave!
- free parking
- undercover BBQ area
- bring a warm coat or hoodie to keep warm during the cool winter days
- toilets located right next door in the Go West cafe (feature coming soon on Go West cafe)
- get ready to unleash your inner kid!
27 Woodlea blvd, Rockbank (just off the Western highway past Caroline Springs)
