Village Kids at the Werribee Open Range Zoo is perfectly placed at the back of Ranger Kids, so when you're done inside (and channeled your inner Dr. Doolittle) you can prowl, roam, crawl, scramble and play outdoors at this new play space.

This nature inspired play space has everything a little zoo explorer could hope for and one 'space' cleverly connects and leads on to another. A river of sand winds its way around to some stepping stones. A log swing branches off to a lookout complete with slide and pole. Make some noise as the sound pipes can be heard by those below. You can crawl through a tunnel then climb to the top of the rocky outcrop. Or climb a rope ladder after you've played with some over-sized beads. There's no rules and the fact that it's incorporated the use of natural materials just adds to the charm of this playground.

little TIPS

  • Toilets are close by
  • It's a fun spot to picnic while the kids play with lots of tables/benches in reach
