I'm a Mum. I wake early. I'm always on the go....and sometimes, I skip breakfast (apart from my morning coffee fix)! As much as we try to be organised there are lunches/snacks to be made, bags to be packed, hair to be wrangled with, little teeth to be brushed, shoelaces to be tied, washing to be hung and so on and so on.... Sometimes there are meltdowns. Ooh, and of course, breakfast, only the most important meal of the day!

As Mums we make sure our kids have had the right start to the day but when it comes to us, we tend to fall somewhere down the bottom of that list.

The kids and I were recently invited to a belVita Breakfast at the Royal Botanic Gardens and this couldn't have come at a better time. While they crafted, I enjoyed a chat and talk by accredited dietician, Melanie McGrice and of course, sampled the range of belVita.

From listening to Melanie, I learned that Belvita Breakfast biscuits are scientifically proven to slowly release carbohydrates over four hours, so they give you energy for the whole morning and keep you going until lunchtime. The new Cranberry biscuits are a tasty combination of wholegrain cereals and cranberry pieces and they contain vitamins E, B1, B3, Iron and Magnesium. They are crunchy, slightly chewy and very tasty. The cranberries give them some sweetness and prevent them from being too dry.

They're great for on the run, in your handbag, in the car glove box, snack attacks and to keep you going throughout the day. I love that they're individually wrapped too for convenience.

You might already know the belVita range and have them stocked in your pantry? If not, they're available from the biscuit isle in your local Woolworths Supermarket. For more information on this tasty breakfast range head to the belVita website.
